Wonderfully done! Your acryla gouache work is always a delight to see, but your Star Wars pictures are always an especially lovely treat.
Love how you captured the expressions here--their eyes look so alive!

Thank you! I still have a ways to go... still learning.
But I can't thank you enough for the encouragement.

I don't suppose an artist ever stops learning, huh? =p
I love seeing the work you've done in different mediums...
I fell behind in reading webcomics years ago, but I've been meaning to reread your Dreamland Chronicles, as it's always been a favorite for me. (And I'm recommending all my ol' favorites to my sisters, and now we're reading them together--I think your comic is going to be especially fun to read aloud.) =)

Thank.
I envy artists who find their style early on and stick with it. I guess I just never found mine.

As for Dreamland. Did you know I finished it?

I think there are pros and cons to both types of artists...I suppose there must be something comforting about the stability of a style that an artist establishes early on, for they're not likely to wonder "what the heck am I even doing??" but I suppose it could also be argued that even the ones that FIND their style early on STILL go through a period of change and growth, since every single finished piece of art teaches us something.
And on the flipside, for an artist that hasn't established a style early on...well, there can be a lot of freedom, I think...
I fall into this category as well. I've never felt like I "found" my style, more like I'm an artist in constant flux, shifting and changing too quickly to be categorized. Which can also be FRUSTRATING...sometimes you can't help but wonder if it mightn't be EASIER if you'd found a style to just stick to early on. I guess that's just the way it goes, though, huh? There's no single path an artist must take, we're all making our own journey and everyone will end up doing things a little differently...

I did notice when you finished it!
I was very happy/excited for you--and uh, also for me.
I love following webcomics AS they're being updated, but there's nothing quite like reading one that has wrapped up, telling an entire story with beginning, middle, and end.
You had a VERY steady update schedule, but I'm looking forward to sitting down to read it all in one go. (Well, perhaps in a FEW sessions--if I'm reading it aloud, I suspect that my voice may require a break between chapters. I believe it was 21 chapters total?) ^^;

It must've been something to sit back and realize you finished it...:wow:
Webcomics are such a unique story-telling medium! Stories are told long-form, over the course of YEARS! Readers get to see it real-time (which has it's pros and cons of course), creators get to ENGAGE with their readers, and they get to have sole control over their story and how it's told. It's really incredible, and sometimes I get blown over by how much has changed in 10 years' time. How many stories have been told. How many stories have yet to BE told...

Thanks. Yes...you know about the flux of styles.
:)

And Dreamland. Yeah. It's weird to know it's done. My boys are now 14 (going on 15 in February) and I started it when they were born. So it's all they knew.
They're a bit freaked out/depressed that it's over too.

Augh, ohmygosh, has it really been that long since it first began?? :faint:
I was just wondering how old your boys were now--I remember seeing pics of them when they were just little tykes...they're getting all grown up!
I'm glad to see you've kept busy since Dreamland, what with your paintings, Animal Crackers, and your company in general!
Hope to see much more art, and many more stories from you down the line--live long and prosper. :iconvulcansaluteplz:

Thanks. All just gouache. Going dark to light. It's a very rough piece. I may go back and tighten it up later. Don't know yet.
